Bread and Butter pudding Recipe


Bread                             50 gm
Butter                             30 gm
Milk                              250 ml
Sugar                            60 gm
Egg                               2 no
Sultanas                        30 no
Nutmeg                        a pinch
Cashew nut                  20 gm
Lemon rind                  a pinch


1. Break butter and bread in to small pieces.
2. Boil the milk, pour over the bread, and set aside for half an hour.
3. Beat eggs well, add sugar, lemon rind, nutmeg powder and pour over the bread.
4. Spinkle cahew nut and sultanas.
5. Pour in to a greased mould, cover it with a greaseproof paper. Steam still set.
6. Serve hot with lemon juice.(for four portions)
