South Indian Chilli Prawn Fry/Prawn Stir Fry Recipe

Ingredients:

Prawn (shell removed)                                               500 gm
Tomatoes                                                                   200 gm
Chilli Powder                                                                 2 gm
Turmeric                                                                        1 gm
Onion                                                                        100 gm
Ginger                                                                       a small piece
Garlic                                                                        8 flakes
Fennel                                                                      1 gm
Curry Leaves                                                            a few
Salt                                                                           to taste
Fat                                                                            30 gm
Procedure:

1. Wash Prawns and boil, add chilli powder, turmeric and salt in just enough water to cook.
2. Blanch tomatoes and slice.
3. Grind ginger and garlic into a smooth paste.
4. Chop onions. Powder fennel.
5. Heat fat. Add fennel, onions, ground ginger and garlic and curry leaves.
6. Fry till onions are slightly browned and a good aroma emanates.
7. Add the tomatoes and fry for few minutes.
8. Add prawns and fry till quite dry.
