Chicken Methi Curry Masala(Fenugreek Chicken Masala)

Chicken methi curry masala is a popular spicy Indian dish with a sour taste. Chicken methi curry masala tastes well with any Indian breads and white rice. Chicken                                                                       500 gms.
Chopped onion                                                           3 nos
Tomato                                                                       2 nos
Ginger Garlic paste                                                   2 tbsps.
Dry red chili                                                               4 nos.
Chopped green coriander                                        1 tbsp.
Curry leaves                                                              1 spring
Kasoori methi(Dry fenugreek leaves)                    2 tbsps.
Fenugreek seeds                                                       1 tsp.
Coriander powder                                                     1 tbsp.
Garam Masala powder                                             2 tsp.
Turmeric powder                                                      1 tsp.
Curd (yogurt)                                                            50 ml
Oil                                                                               25 ml.
Salt                                                                             To taste


1. Clean, wash and cut chicken into medium size pieces.
2. Grind onion, dry red chilli and ginger garlic together to make it to a fine paste.
3. Heat oil in a kadai. Add ground paste and fry in a slow flame till the raw smell reduces.
4. Add chopped tomato, salt and saute.
5. Add turmeric powder, garam masala, curry leaves, coriander powder and fenugreek seeds and continue frying in a slow flame for 1 or 2 minutes.
6. Add kasuri methi, curd and chicken. Add some water if necessary.
7. Cook till the chicken is tender and the oil separates.
8. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and Serve hot.
